Surrey Invisible Braces Providers Explains How Children Benefit from Braces

Langley, BC – Braces are a common part of childhood, but many parents aren’t familiar with all of their benefits. “A properly aligned bite can grant a child myriad tangible and intangible benefits,” says Dr. Aly Kanani, a Surrey Invisible braces provider.

Straight teeth are often perceived as just a question of appearance. But, crooked teeth are difficult to clean – and can cause decay, gum disease, and loss of teeth. Poor bites also lead to abnormal wear on teeth, troubles with chewing, and too much stress on the jaw bone and gums.

“If you can correct a problem with your bite during childhood, you will grow into adulthood with a healthy smile,” says Dr. Kanani, a Langley invisible braces provider. “Children’s braces prevent a many different problems in adulthood.”

In addition, a nice smile has been found to increase self esteem. “If you are confident about your smile, you will smile more often,” explains Dr. Kanani, a Langley Invisalign specialist. “When you smile more, the people around you respond more positively.”

In our culture, individuals are often evaluated based on their appearance. People with an attractive smile usually enjoy more personal and professional opportunities. Plus, a winning smile boosts self-confidence – an important component in future success.
